Structural and functional studies on protein machinery/RNA-protein complex
Research Interests:
The regulation of RNA maturation and degradation is a crucial step in gene expression, which has close relationship with human diseases like many cancers. The research in Sun lab will use biochemical and structural approaches (Cryo-EM and X-ray crystallography) to investigate molecular mechanism of the important protein complexes/machinery and RNA-protein complexes in 1)RNA metabolism and regulation; 2) the important macromolecules in antiviral immune defense.
