Recently, Professor Hu Ji, the vice dean of the School of Life Science and Technology at ShanghaiTech University, was successfully elected as a member of the Asia Pacific Regional Committee of the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO-APRC). This appointment not only marks the continuous development of the neuroscience field in China but also underscores China’s significant influence in the international brain science research arena.
IBRO, established in 1961, is one of the most influential neuroscience research organizations globally. The IBRO Asia Pacific Regional Committee (IBRO-APRC) aims to promote research collaboration and talent development in brain science within the Asia-Pacific region and facilitate exchanges among scientists from different countries in the region. With his election as a member of the IBRO-APRC, Professor Hu Ji will bring a stronger voice to the Chinese neuroscience community on the international stage and actively contribute to the development of brain science in the Asia-Pacific area.
Professor Hu has always been at the forefront of academic research and international cooperation, leading his research team to significant achievements in both fundamental neuroscience research and clinical applications, widely recognized by peers domestically and internationally.
